Protests against excessive noise at night

There, lhe protesters raised their voices against the noise pollution generated by terraces, bottle jams, parties and tourist apartments.

Some of the slogans on the banners displayed by the participants included: “We cannot live without sleep”; “Basta de botellones”, among others.

Excessive noise at night

The spokesman for the Red Vecinal contra el Ruido, Miquel Prats, said that some neighbors are “burned out” because of the impossibility of resting due to the constant noise.

The demonstration was held to defend the right of neighbors to rest and to be able to enjoy the city and good health.

In fact, it was demanded that the City Council act effectively to defend the rights of noise victims.

Among the protesters’ demands are a reduction in the opening hours of bars and terraces, a review of their operating licenses and preventive action to eradicate botellones.

Also to avoid crowds in squares, beaches and streets and to monitor the explosion of tourist apartments.

The protest ended with a minute of silence in which all protesters covered their ears.
