FCG interactive kiosks for user information

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, FGC, launched its new interactive information kiosk service for users at 27 of its stations on the Barcelona-Vallès and Llobregat-Anoia lines.

At the Kiosks you will find real-time information on line and station maps and service incidents and disruptions. Also schedules and different transfer options that allow you to complete the trip.

It also offers you possibilities to travel with other operators, as well as trip planners through the Google application.

FCG president, Marta Subirà, explained that the installation of these devices is part of a strategy to encourage more people to use public transportation services.

FCG’s objective is to facilitate modal shift for users and make travel easier.

Where did the interactive kiosks start operating?

The devices are located in the lobbies of 27 stations. These include Plaça Catalunya, Av. Tibidabo, Provença, Gràcia, Muntaner, Sarrià or Plaça Espanya, all within the city.

Depending on passenger response, FCG plans to extend the service to new stations until the entire network is covered.

The FGC president also pointed out that passengers are “the center of Ferrocarrils’ digitalization strategy and customer information is vital to offer a good service”.

The facilities are accessible to persons with reduced mobility. They are located in the lobby of the stations and provide information to those users who do not have the entity’s mobile application.
