Barcelona has the most sustainable restaurant in the country

Barcelona has the most sustainable restaurant in the country and it is called Veganashi. It is a site that specializes in offering diners vegan sushi and was awarded in this category at the seventh edition of the Just Eat awards.

Veganashi is located in the Sagrada Família neighborhood at 448 Rosselló street.

Its name comes from the combination of vegan and sushi. And therein lies the key to its success and to winning the awards.

Being named the most sustainable restaurant is due to several reasons.

The first is that the restaurant is very committed to the environment through its gastronomic offer, where fresh products and a totally vegan menu are a priority.

The second reason is the use of environmentally friendly packaging for delivery orders. These packages are made from 100% compostable plant-based materials.

And finally, the restaurant promotes non-polluting practices. In this sense, it offers 1 euro discount to customers who bring their own tupperware to pick up their food on site.

How Veganashi, the country’s most sustainable restaurant, was born

The Chef’s and owners of Veganashi are Taís and Tamara. The initiative arose because they are passionate about vegan, tasty and healthy food.

They have been sushi lovers but wanted to go beyond the use of cucumber and avocado.

They dreamed of offering vegan food, with sustainability and awareness that materialized in vegan sushi in Barcelona.

During 2020 after starting the pandemic confinement, meeting in the kitchen and taking courses in food, project management, digital marketing and even yoga and meditation, Veganashi emerged.

The Delivey service nation project, under the philosophy of respecting health and the environment.

The menu is very nutritious, tasty, colorful, prepared with fresh and healthy ingredients. Zero sugar and using only whole grain rice.

Their differential, besides offering healthy and totally vegan sushi, is that they do not use plastic to package the food. They only use compostable boxes and bags made from plants.

And best of all, they make all the rolls right when you receive your order. They use fresh fruits, vegetables, vegetables, sauces and homemade creams, organic apple cider vinegar, soy and organic, non-GMO derivatives.

They also use brown rice, not refined or white, such as Venere. When raw it has an intense black color and when cooked it takes on a purple color when cooked. It also offers excellent antioxidant and nutritional properties.

The prize they receive as award winners is to increase the visibility given to them by the Just Eat application for one year.

They are also granted one week of free sponsored placement.
