The private life of George Harrison at the Teatre Gaudí

If you are a fan of the Liverpool quartet, the Teatre Gaudí in Barcelona is presenting a magnificent theatrical and musical piece that tells something of the private life of one of its members.

Llum profunda” tells the story of an unusual friendship between George Harrison (one of the Beatles) and the Balearic guru Joan Mascaró.

The successful play is directed by Carlos Garrido and stars journalist and singer Mariona Forteza.

At the Teatre Gaudí “Llum profunda”.

It is something like a radio report that comes to life on stage thanks to the narration, songs and musical backgrounds.

The performance is live with Mariona’s voice and guitar.

Joan Mascaró and the Beatle George Harrison met in 1967 in a television program and from that moment on, they started a friendship.

This encounter would be decisive for the arrival of Eastern spirituality and philosophy in the West.

Through the play you will get the best portrait of the two characters from their pure humanity, each with their contradictions and problems.

Always arguing the thesis that all people have access to spirituality.

No Beatle will be playing. The magic is that the artist manages to tell this story alternating with the popular Mallorcan songbook with songs of her own authorship.

The show is presented in Spanish and Catalan.
