We want to let you know the best sandwich restaurants in Barcelona, but specifically we need to highlight some types of sandwiches that are becoming quite popular in the city, those that are made in sandwich bread.

These snacks are quite original and delicious creations, which elevate the category of a product that has been underrated due to its apparent simplicity. That’s why we made this top of sandwich restaurants with sliced bread that you have to try.

Top 4 with the best sandwich restaurants on sliced bread

1. Sandwich Club Barcelona (Bailèn, 108)

In this sandwich restaurant everything is prepared from scratch, with products of proximity and the best quality. We recommend the pulled pork sandwich, which stands out because it has been cooking for ten hours and is like a caramel with an incredible barbecue sauce, and it is also the perfect companion to their delicious flatbread.

Another protagonist of the house that you should try is the tartar sandwich on bun bread, which has siracha sauce and is simply delicious.

2. Bar Torpedo (Aribau, 143)

From this restaurant open since 2019 we have several recommended, we start with the tongue pastrami biquini on a soft Triticum croissant flatbread accompanied by an herbed mustard. You also have to try the roasted eggplant sandwich with succulent sundried tomatoes on bread from Burger del horno Sant Josep, yes, you guessed it right, this is a vegetarian sandwich!

And not to mention the Patty Melt hamburger sandwich, which seems to melt in your mouth, it is unique and exquisite.

3. Fishology (Diputaciò, 73)

This is undoubtedly a proposal that has changed the way of enjoying fish in the city. Since its opening in 2021, the restaurant has been characterized by playing with the limits of imagination, always striving to offer something new.

Fishology’s main products are preserves, matured products, pickles and smoked products, including smoked sardines, tomatoes, burrata and salicornia pesto. We also recommend their delicious cod croquettes with honey air.

As for drinks, it was to be expected that they would have a specialty: handcrafted vermouths, in addition to an extensive sake menu.

4. The Hotel Palace GL has one of the best sandwich restaurants (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 668).

This hotel is located in the Eixample, very close to La Rambla. There is a Michelin-starred restaurant there, the Winter Garden, located on the terrace of the building, which also offers incredible views of the city. All this is contrasted with a sandwich that looks simple, but really is not.

The bread is made on the spot and the fillings are spectacular: minced chicken thigh with mayonnaise, to which curry and nuts are added. There is another one with watercress with egg and truffle in caramel bread, or if you like the classic, you can opt for the one with cucumbers, mayonnaise and spinach bread, which is super soft to the palate.
