Parc Vallès: a benchmark for sustainable retailing with an investment of three million euros

The Parc Vallès shopping center, located in Terrassa, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a significant transformation aimed at promoting the innovative concept of Shopping Promenade.

This change marks a milestone by becoming the first Frey Group retail and leisure park in Spain to adopt this pioneering proposal. With an investment of three million euros, the multinational, which specializes in sustainable retail in Europe, has remodeled its facilities to position itself as a benchmark in sustainable consumption.

Parc Vallès the commitment to Sustainable Retailing

The sustainable retail initiative seeks to offer visitors a comprehensive experience that combines a wide range of commercial and leisure offerings with spaces designed for the whole family.

The company expects to close the year 2023 with around 11 million visitors and the generation of 622 direct jobs, thus consolidating Parc Vallès as an economic engine in the region.

The shopping center has a gross leasable area of 47,300 square meters, of which 29,500 square meters are used for dining and leisure, and currently maintains an employment rate of 99.7%.

The transformation of the business park includes substantial improvements, such as the complete renovation of facades, pavements and interior walkways to ensure accessibility. On the environmental side, parking has been optimized with the installation of 10 electric charging stations, with plans to reach 30 by January of next year.

In addition, a complete renovation of the main square has been carried out to create a warm and sustainable environment.

Commitment to urban art and environmental certifications

One of the highlights of the new Parc Vallès is its commitment to urban art, turning its facades into an open-air gallery.

Featuring murals by local artists Anna Taratiel and Zosen Bandido, the mall is also BREEAM environmentally certified and aims to obtain Biosphere certification in the near future.

This initiative reflects Parc Vallès’ commitment to sustainability, promoting a new form of consumption that prioritizes the positive experience of visitors.

With this transformation, Parc Vallès consolidates its position as the regional leader in sustainable retail, promoting a new way of consuming that focuses on sustainability and providing a positive experience for visitors.

Núria Gàndara, manager of the shopping center, highlights: “With this transformation, we are preparing the park for a new stage of growth, improving the visitor experience according to the new consumption and entertainment habits and trends of our environment”.

The Frey Group, with its expansion strategy, also announced future projects in Spain such as the Shopping Promenade Lleida.

This expansion reflects the multinational’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and the creation of retail spaces that align with current trends and consumer expectations.
