Barcelona's heat says goodbye, the cold arrives

With a drastic drop in thermometers, temperatures in the city already reached minimum values even below 10 degrees Celsius last weekend, bringing the cold to the city.

After the cold weekend, temperatures have remained stable with slight increases, but thermometers are expected to continue to drop over the next few days.

Weather forecast

According to Meteocat, highs of 17 degrees and lows of 9 are expected for next weekend, which is usual for this time of the year.

In general, there will be progressive and steady decreases in temperatures.

Cold weather arrives in Barcelona, but still without wind or rain

Although the cold weather is already making its presence felt, there is a very low probability of rain, according to recent forecasts. Likewise, there will be no strong gusts of wind. Winds are not expected to exceed 20km/h during these days.

The sun will reappear with the presence of clear intervals during the day, interspersed with clouds and sunny bands. However, the move towards the cold and the coming winter is inevitable.

The heat and the summers of the city are gone until next year. Little by little the Catalan capital is being introduced in the autumn that particularly during its first two months has been somewhat hot.

Autumn has passed quickly and winter is only a little more than a month away. For the evenings, generally mild nights are expected with temperatures around 17 degrees.

During this transition temperatures usually begin to drop gently, by about one degree in both highs and lows. The maximum temperature will be 19 degrees, which begins to mark the end of the heat.

Colder between December and March

Within the usual climatic behavior throughout the year, the coldest months in Barcelona are between December and March. This is when the winter season arrives with many cloudy days, although precipitation is not frequent. But of all the months the coldest in Barcelona is January.

Tourists indicate that the best months to visit the Catalan capital are undoubtedly April, May, June and September.

But remember that even though the cold starts, in autumn there is a wide variety of plans that you can enjoy. In addition to enjoying good gastronomy, another plan for this season in honor of the grape harvest months (September and October), is to do wine tourism throughout the province.

You can visit the wineries in Barcelona, pick grapes and do wine tastings.
