The Nadal Festival for the reunion and strengthening of commerce

From December 18 to 30, 2021 at Plaça de Catalunya and Plaça de la Universitat, the Festival Nadal will be held with a variety of activities. Musical and audiovisual shows, street arts and games for children will be part of the event.

The Barcelona City Council has taken advantage of the event to wish the inhabitants and visitors of the city a “very tender Christmas” and the reunion with loved ones.

It is also a way to reactivate downtown businesses after being affected by the health emergency.

To attend the Festival Nadal the entrance is free and no previous reservation is required, but you must take into account that there is limited capacity between 600 and 700 people in the morning and 1,000 attendees in the afternoon.

The Nadal Festival is among us again

As part of the festival activities, there will be a daily screening of the creation Tants Nadals. It consists of a musical and cinematographic journey through the different Christmases celebrated in Barcelona between 1929 and 1989, based on old images.

You will be able to experience something like a time tunnel directed by filmmaker Nuria G. Lorang.

For its part, the districts from December 17 to 31, 2021, will offer a cycle of 100 concerts “Sons de Nadal”, with the presentation of 40 musical formations of classical music, jazz, pop and other genres.

And the Barcelona Christmas song for this year will be a song by The Sey Sisters that seeks to convey the joy of the holidays and the reunion with loved ones.
