La Sagrada Familia is raffling free tickets for the Christmas Concert on December 16, 2022. This is a unique concert and one of the most anticipated shows of the year that can be enjoyed inside Gaudí’s masterpiece.
It is a unique opportunity and only those who win the raffle for the Christmas Concert 2022 on December 16 at 19:30h will be able to attend for free.
Since last Friday, December 2, you can access the website of the Sagrada Familia to register in the draw for free tickets.
The musical work will be performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Vallès, conducted by Xavier Puig. In addition, in collaboration with the Cor Bruckner Barcelona they will sing the most famous Christmas carols from all over the world.
How to register for the Christmas Concert Drawing
As we said, if you want to participate you can enter the website of the Sagrada Familia. The goal is to give away 500 double tickets and if you are one of the winners, you will receive via email the necessary information to take advantage of the tickets and enjoy the concert.
The Concert at the Sagrada Familia Church
Everything is ready for the Basilica to be filled with music and Christmas spirit with its traditional Christmas Concert next Friday, December 16 at 7:30 pm.
For this year the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès together with the Cor Bruckner Barcelona, will be in charge of the presentation.
And as usual, La Sagrada Familia is raffling 500 double tickets among citizens who register between December 2, 2022 at 10:00 am and December 12, 2022 at 10:00 am. The drawing of lots will take place on December 12 at 10:00 am.
On that day, just after the Christmas Concert, the Holy Family will illuminate for the first time the terminals of the towers of the Evangelists Mark and Luke. This symbolic act marks the end of its construction.
These towers at the top are topped by the figure of the winged tetramorph together with the Gospel book corresponding to Luke and Mark.
The apostles are represented by an ox and a lion, respectively, according to Christian iconography.
After December 16, they will be illuminated every evening from Saturday December 17 until January 8 between 18:00h and 22:00h.
