The British band “The Who” returns to Barcelona after seven years of waiting, as the only city in Spain to visit as part of its European tour 2023.

The tour will pass through the main cities of the old continent. The band’s singer, Pete Townshend, celebrated the announcement as he lists the Catalan capital as one of his favorite cities.

The orchestral rock concert will be held at the Palau Sant Jordi on July 14, 2023, where the group will review their 60 years of musical career through their songs.

Present at the recital will be the full original band, consisting of: Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Loren Gold, Simon Townshend, EJon Button, mily Marshall, Zak Starkey and Billy Nicholls.

They will be joined by conductor Keith Levenson, principal cellist Audrey Snydern and principal violinist Katie Jacoby.

From December 13, 2022, tickets will go on sale through the website livenation, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés.

After seven years, it will be the band’s first European tour. The tour includes presentations in cities such as Florence, Paris, Berlin, among others.

The legendary rock band, who will perform with full orchestra, will perform their traditional musical repertoire where they will also include sections dedicated to the classic albums “Tommy and Quadrophenia” and 2019’s “WHO”.

The group seeks to bring a great orchestral show throughout Europe, the oldest songs that have represented them to thousands of fans around the world.

The shows they will perform in Europe during 2023, are a continuation of their U.S. tour “The Who Hits Back” 2022. During their presentations in America they were able to share the stage with the best orchestras in America.

During 1990, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Throughout his musical career he has sold over 100 million records around the world and has placed 27 singles in the top forty in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
