16 Samsung 8K TVs are part of the Sagrada Familia

With the arrival of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, technology also arrived at the Sagrada Familia. The initiative allowed Samsung to install 16 8K screens in the basilica in order to promote technological innovation.

The audiovisual project of the Korean multinational includes the renovation of the current equipment with the installation of 16 Neo QLED 8K televisions between 55” and 85” inches.

They have also produced the video Sagrada Familia: stained glass windows that will have images recorded with Galaxy S22 smartphones.

Samsung in its plan to promote culture reached an agreement with the Sagrada Familia for the screens to start working just with the arrival of the Mobile World Congress in the city.

Although the congress ends on March 3, 2022, the initiative is long-term, so the screens will remain in place after the event , projecting a more “vivid and realistic” image of the temple’s spaces.

The Sagrada Familia is renovated with technology

The video uses a time-lapse technique capable of capturing the movement of light and the color generated by the sunlight as it passes through the stained glass windows.

In addition, having 8K displays is to offer sharpness and quality of the image that can be seen in a higher resolution.

The innovation of this project is a milestone for Samsung and the basilica, as it is the first 8K content to be produced in the temple.

For its part, the basilica assures that this agreement allows visitors to have the best possible experience during their visit.
