Published by Ediciones Temas de Hoy, part of the Planeta group, this book promises to be the new literary crush of many. In a totally different way to what we are used to, Núria is going to tell us exclusively how she got the idea of becoming a writer, what her book brings and how it has been to give life to “Soy Afrodita”.

In between one royal salseo and another we met Núria .

SPB: Hi Núria, is it Wikipedia that is going too slow and hasn’t caught on yet or is it you Núria that is going too fast in your artistic and creative activity? Since when did you become a writer?

The truth is that I have always felt like a writer. I’ve been behind the editorial staff of a lot of programs and I also got my hands on Super Pop magazine, so I’ve always had it in me to start writing. Then, all of a sudden, the people at Planeta’s EDICIONES TEMAS DE HOY launched the proposal.

The idea for the novel had been brewing for a long time. And well, here I am, involved in this writing thing, besides being a presenter, journalist, tiktoker, contributor, podcaster and a thousand other things.

Soy Afrodita’ is a novel that is all fun and frolic.

SPB: How long have you been passionate about Salseo?

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been crazy about gossip and gossip. It was something that could not be missing in my novel, because, after all, that is also part of what I do.

SPB What is the most saucy mythological character that you would like to interview?

I would love to be able to interview all the mythological gods, really. But if I have to choose, Aphrodite is my favorite, without hesitation. And then there would be Medusa, who I feel has always been unfairly given a bad reputation.

SPB: You live between Barcelona and Madrid. You know both cities very well. What is it that Madrid should envy Barcelona and vice versa?

The truth is that all the important events are held in Madrid, and I think Barcelona should wake up a bit in that sense. We could also use more action here, I encourage film distributors to make premieres and events in Barcelona, so that celebrities are encouraged to come here to the photocall, as they do in Madrid.

The reality is that in Barcelona we have incredible places: the beach, the sea, Montjuic, Tibidabo… unique spaces that should be used more to organize events that leave you with your mouth open. Not to mention the food, the gastronomic offer here is of another level.

SPB: We know you are a deep lover of proximity commerce. What is your favorite market in Barcelona?

The truth is that I love it. The Mercat de Sant Antoni was spectacular after the renovation, but I’m also a big fan of small neighborhood markets. I always stop by the Fort Pienc market, which although it is small, is a jewel. It does not have many stops, but in each one you will find first class products and a personalized service that is a marvel.

Where would you be most likely to meet friends for dinner in Barcelona? Tell us your favorite restaurant to dine with them

Hey, if you are looking for a good place to have dinner with friends, I highly recommend Las Taquerias de Barcelona, there are a few of them and they are great. My friends and I love La Taqueria de Poble Nou, which is on Pujades street, right next to the Rambla del Poble Nou. We are always there, the place is top in quality-price ratio. And for lazy days, they also have a home delivery service, a great tip!

And, if it’s not too much to ask, where are you most likely to see yourself dining with your partner? Tell us your favorite restaurant for a romantic dinner with your partner in Barcelona.

When it’s time for a romantic dinner, the top place for my partner and me is the Windsor restaurant, which is on Rosselló street in Barcelona, on the corner with Rambla Cataluña, almost reaching Diagonal.

It is an incredible place, with parking right in front of it. The food is Catalan cuisine with some signature touches that are amazing. The place is beautiful, with a covered terrace for winter and an open-air terrace to enjoy in summer. I highly recommend it.

To finish…. A tourist asks you to visit a place that is the least touristic in the city, but the most beautiful for you …. Where would you send it? What is Núria’s favorite corner of Barcelona? Marin

What is my favorite place in Barcelona? Well, the Ciutadella Park, without thinking twice. It’s a great place for a lot of things: from taking cool pictures, to going down to read for a while because I live nearby, or even to exercise. I love Ciutadella Park, it’s like my personal oasis in the city. It is the most beautiful place in Barcelona for me. So nothing, I send a big kiss to all of you. Thank you very much, Salirporbarcelona, see you on Thursday!
