Meet the architectural appointment at the 48 H Open House 2019.
The 48h Open House is a unique event in Barcelona that seeks to raise awareness of architecture as an essential element of culture. The project was born in 2010 and since then it has been very successful and has become an event of international stature.
During the two days you will be able to visit buildings of different periods and designs around the city. You will be able to see museums, houses, monuments, factories, libraries, universities, churches, schools, etc. There are many options.
Some of the places are the most emblematic monuments in Barcelona, such as the Arc de Triomf, the magic fountains of Montjuïc, the Santa Maria del Pi church, the Miró foundation, the Liceu circle, the Sant Pau hospital or Gaudí’s Bellesguard tower.
The organizers of the event propose thematic itineraries. Everything is completely free and the visits will be guided by architects or even by the owners of the places themselves.
The programming of 48 H Open House 2019 seeks to encourage the reflection that architecture goes beyond the facade of a building. These visits are part of the strategy for learning about architecture.
Take advantage of this opportunity if you really love architecture and good taste or if you just love to discover new places, new designs. If you go to the event you will surely enjoy seeing buildings that are as spectacular as they are unique. You can’t miss them.
Please note that some itineraries can be done if you register in advance. Some buildings are very attractive to visit and there may be entrance lines.
