Real Self: the anonymous immersive experience coming to Barcelona

“Real Self” is much more than a show, it is an opportunity to explore emotions, expressions and experiences completely anonymously and in total darkness.

In the heart of Barcelona this unique and immersive experience takes shape, inviting participants to immerse themselves in authenticity and emotion without fear of being judged. It is an unprecedented experience that has crossed the ocean from Buenos Aires to land in Europe.

“Real Self” takes place in a space of more than 1,000 square meters, without any obstacles and completely dark. What makes this experience unique is that it brings together 200 people dressed exactly alike: they all wear overalls, gloves and a white mask.

This uniformity guarantees absolute anonymity, as it is impossible to recognize anyone in the crowd. Participants are spectators and at the same time, actors in this immersive experience.

Real Self, immersion in emotion

The “Real Self” experience is characterized by its deep focus on human emotions. For 75 minutes, participants are guided through a wide range of emotions, ranging from fear and anger to sadness, joy and elation.

What is different is that no cell phones are allowed and no talking is allowed at any time. Instead, a voiceover guides participants on their emotional journey through the experience.

Anonymity as a key

One of the most outstanding elements of “Real Self” is the total anonymity it offers participants. The darkness, identical overalls and white masks create an environment in which no one can be recognized or judged by their appearance or actions.

This freedom to be oneself without fear of judgment is a fundamental part of the experience and allows participants to explore their emotions in an authentic and unrestricted way.

Real Self in Europe: the place and dates

For the first time, the “Real Self” experience has crossed the ocean from Buenos Aires to Europe. The place chosen for this unique experience is the Inmersa space, located at 72 Badajoz street, in Barcelona.

The performances are scheduled through the end of November, giving Barcelona residents and visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in this unique immersive experience of Argentine origin, so the main language is Spanish.

The event is reserved for people over 18 years of age and it is recommended to wear light clothing and comfortable shoes, avoiding the use of high heels. A coverall and an anonymity mask will be provided to wear over clothing.

If at any time participants need to leave, they may do so, but will not be allowed to return. The experience is about 75 minutes.
