High-speed tickets within everyone’s reach

Thanks to the liberalization of rail transport in Spain, low cost companies such as Ouigo and Iryo have been integrating into rail traffic in recent months.

These companies have become competitors of RENFE, the General State Administration, which in turn has created its own low-cost line with AVLO (Alta Velocidad Low Cost).

Ouigo is a low-cost railway company of French origin that arrived in Spain in 2021, offering high-speed train services at lower prices and greater range for users.

Since its arrival in the country, the company has mobilized almost five million users on its two main lines: Madrid-Barcelona and Madrid-Valencia.

Its objective is to expand its business plan in Spain with the connection between the cities of Madrid and Alicante, with a stop in Albacete.
