The Generalitat set up a shelter for Ukrainians in Vallcarca, in the district of Gràcia. An average of 70 Ukrainian nationals have been taken in, mainly tourists who have not been able to return to their country because of the Russian invasion.

This is a housing alternative in Barcelona for those Ukrainians who are in Catalonia and require it.

The Councilor for Social Rights, Violant Cervera, on her Twitter account, noted that they remain in constant contact with the consulate.

He adds that the number of people who want to use these facilities during the following days could reach 134.

Shows of solidarity at the shelter for Ukrainians

The Il-lustre Col-legi d’Advocats de Barcelona, ICAB, will offer free legal assistance to Ukrainian citizens who are in the capital of Catalonia or in another city where the organization has a delegation.

This initiative is part of the “Ukrainian Population Assistance” project to help Ukrainian refugees.

Its Public Defender’s Office, Foreigners, International Criminal and Human Rights Commissions and the Young Lawyers Group will be at your disposal.
