Go to the open-air cinema at Sala Montjuïc and Cinema Llure a la Platja

Enjoy between July 28 and August 2, 2019 the best films of all time in open-air cinema at the Sala Montjuïc and Cinema Llure a la Platja in Barcelona.

A whole program of the best of the seventh art along with concerts, short films, picnics and good company.

Open-air cinema at the Montjuïc hall

Place: Montjuïc Castle (Santa Eulàlia Moat)
Opening time: 8.30 p.m.
Concert start: 20:45
Start of projection: 22:00

You can access with your own car, bike or motorcycle and park in the free parking areas near the castle. If you go by bus there is a free shuttle service from Plaza de España, between Avenida de María Cristina and Avenida del Paralelo. Wheelchair access is also available.

You can buy tickets at the box office or online. Admission is free for children up to 6 years old. You can also buy on-line other complements to the activity such as the guided visit to the Castle, the participation in an Eco-Picnic or the rental of a deck chair to make you comfortable.

If it rains before opening at 8:30 p.m. in the open-air cinema in the Montjuïc hall, the organization may suspend the show and they will refund your ticket if you bought it in advance.

If the event is cancelled due to rain after 8.30 pm, you will be able to attend any other exhibition free of charge, but you will not be refunded the value of the lounger.

Open-air cinema at Cinema Llure a la Platja

In this cinema, screenings will begin from June 27 to August 1 at 9:00 pm. They are free and in the traditional “sala” of the beach of San Sebastian. This year marks its eighth edition and is considered the most anticipated free cultural event of the summer.

At the Cinema Lliure a la Platja you won’t have anyone watching if you bring popcorn or snacks into the cinema, as it is not a cinema. You can also bring a hammock, a folding chair or a towel to accommodate you.
