A total of 190 vacancies for different profiles were opened by the Barcelona City Council if you want to participate in the 2023 Three Kings Parade.
The parade will take place on January 5, 2023 and the city is already preparing for the traditional Christmas parade.
As usual, the details of the nativity scene and the celebrations are being finalized and at the same time, volunteers are being sought to take part in the parade.
The only requirement requested by the City Council is that by January 1, 2023, the volunteer must be eight years of age or older.
How to register to participate in the Three Kings Parade?
If you want to be part of this majestic celebration, you can register by filling out an online form on the Barcelona City Council website.
You can also call 010 or 931 537 010 (outside Barcelona).
You can also register in person directly at the headquarters of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona at the Palau de la Virreina, La Rambla, 99.
Profiles requested
There are four in total and the role will be assigned according to the age of the registrant. If you are interested you can be:
Role one, Carriage pages
The show is for children from 8 to 10 years old. They will be riding on the floats from where they will greet the public during the parade.
Role two, Welcome Pages
It will be for children between 11 and 13 years of age. Like the previous group, their function will be to greet the parade attendees from the floats. In either case, the boys and girls will be dressed as pages.
Role three, Parade assistants for the Cabalgata de reyes parade
This role will be occupied by minors between 14 and 17 years of age. Their job will be to push the floats along with other artistic elements during the three-hour parade and the five-kilometer route.
Role four, Technical collaborators
This function will be performed by persons 18 years of age and older. During the parade, they will be on duty around the parade performing collaborative technical functions, as well as pushing the artistic elements of the parade.
Deadline to register for the Three Kings parade
The deadline to register as a participant began last October 28 and will be extended until November 25.
Please note that registration is free and when the registration period is over, a lottery will be held to decide who will be the next pages of the Three Wise Men on their return to Barcelona in January 2023.
The Barcelona parade has been held in the city since 1942, except in pandemic years. During the tour, their Magical Majesties have the mission of distributing more than 7 tons of candies.
