The building that houses it was the former headquarters of the Cotton Textile Foundation, a nineteenth-century building where representatives of the Catalan textile industry that worked with cotton met.

History tells that by the 19th century Barcelona was the epicenter of the textile industry. For this reason, the cotton guild acquired this neoclassical eighteenth-century building to convert it into its private club.
Over the years it fell into oblivion, until 2015 when the Cotton House opened its doors, named in honor of its memorable past.
The hotel has preserved original elements such as the wooden coffered ceilings and the marble staircase, which have been integrated with details from the world of cotton.
It has beautiful spherical lamps reminiscent of cotton flowers. It has a very barcelonian interior patio with a southern ambience that evokes hot afternoons.
The suites have been named Panama, Madras, Egyptian and Ottoman. Each of them has imposing beds covered with 300-thread-count sheets of mercerized Egyptian cotton.
