The Christmas festivities are dressed in color and laughter in Barcelona with the arrival of the Children’s Festival, an event designed for the little ones to enjoy to the fullest.

From December 27 to 31, 2023, Montjuic (Palau 2 and Plaça del Univers) will become the stage for this magical festival full of recreational, sporting and cultural activities for children up to 12 years of age.

From rides through the ‘Espai Mini’ to exciting workshops and shows, the Children’s Festival promises unforgettable moments for the whole family.

Welcome to the Children’s Festival, a children’s paradise.

The Montjuic venue of the Fira de Barcelona will be the epicenter of this celebration that will range from activities for babies to challenges for children over 4 years old.

This year, the ‘Espai Mini’ has been incorporated, a space dedicated to children from 0 to 4 years old, with games and corners designed especially for their needs.

Fun for Babies at the ‘Espai Mini’.

  • El Jardí dels Petits’: A toy library designed to explore heuristic and symbolic games, memory games, psychomotor spaces and much more.
  • ‘Sensational’: An amazing visual and sound experience that will be projected onto a large screen, creating a burst of images and sounds that will captivate babies.
  • Miniature vintage vehicles attraction: For road lovers, an attraction full of vintage vehicles in small format, with parking included!
  • Espai Lactància’: A space designed for families, with sofas and comforts so that babies can be fed peacefully.

Activities for children over 4 years old

  • Adventure circuit and American track for the most intrepid.
  • Virtual reality: Virtual reality experiences that will transport children to fascinating worlds.
  • Ice rink: For skating lovers, an ice rink that promises laughter and fun.
  • Mini Chef: Cooking workshops where children can become mini chefs and experiment with tasty recipes.
  • Make-up, painting and crafts workshops: Creative activities that stimulate imagination and manual dexterity.
  • Interactive farm: A farm where children can learn about animals in a fun way.
  • Bicycle traffic rules: Workshops that teach the rules of the road in a fun and educational way.

Information

  • Access hours: in the morning (from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm) or in the afternoon (from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm).
  • Festival App: this year, there is an application that will allow you to filter the activities, plan your visit and know in real time the waiting time for the different activities.
  • Entrance fees: the entrance fee is 8 euros. There are also season ticket options, such as the family pack (two adults and two children) for 18 euros, and discounts available on the festival website.
