With a surface area of more than 400 square meters and specialized in the women’s line, Mango reopens a store on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. More precisely, at number 586, Avenida Diagonal, the establishment is already open with 400 m2 of sales area.
It has integrated new technologies and services into the operation under the NewMed concept, which seeks to improve the customer’s shopping experience. It has an area for customers to pick up their online purchases, called click and collect.
It also has a “Committed Box”, a container exclusively for customers to deposit shoes and clothes that can be given a second life.

After being closed for more than three months, Mango reopened one of its most emblematic stores on Avenida Diagonal, near Plaça Francesc Macià.
The objective is to advance the implementation of the new NewMed store concept in its Barcelona premises.
In Barcelona there are already three stores that have adopted this new “Mediterranean-inspired” design that Mango launched in 2021.
The ultimate goal is to adopt this new design progressively in all of the company’s flagship stores around the world.
The NewMed concept
It is a new brand concept influenced by the Mediterranean culture. It is a style dominated by warm tones and neutral color bases mixed with handcrafted, traditional, sustainable and natural materials. Some of them are wood, marble, tuff, leather and esparto grass.
With this innovation, the fashion company seeks to integrate the concept of sustainability, energy efficiency and architectural connection to the environment into its operations. To this end, the stores are already equipped with eco-efficient lighting and air conditioning. Also with a design that incorporates natural paints.
In the same way, Mango collaborates with Moda re- with a project to collect clothes and footwear to be recycled and reused. The brand already has 27 stores in Barcelona, 2 of which (Paseo de Gràcia and the one in the L’illa Diagonal shopping center) had already adopted the new image.
Just before the remodeling of the Diagonal store, only the men’s and women’s lines were sold in this store. With its reopening, it will only offer the woman collection.
NewMed stores use sustainable materials and natural paints in their construction. This is intended to reflect the brand’s fresh and innovative spirit and Mediterranean influence.
Finally, it should be noted that Mango is present in more than 110 markets worldwide. By 2021, it had a turnover of 2,234 million euros. Likewise, the online sales channel, which soared in the wake of the pandemic, generates approximately 42% of the volume of business.
