Le Corbusier. An Atlas of Modern Landscapes

Le CorbusierSince January 29th of this year you can enjoy in Barcelona the exhibition ‘An Atlas of Modern Landscapes’, an exhibition presented by the Obra Social La Caixa organized by the MoMA Museum of Modern Art of New York in collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier of Paris. And it shows the work of Le Corbusier, considered one of the great creators of the twentieth century.

This artist has mastered many disciplines: architecture, painting, interior design, photography and even film and writing. Le Corbusier was, with all the tetras, what we call a multidisciplinary artist.

The purpose of this exhibition is to show all its facets. And for this purpose, more than 200 objects have been used to show his trajectory over 60 years, during which he created his path in search of landscapes, landscapes of all kinds: natural landscapes, architectural landscapes, domestic landscapes… landscapes, nothing more.

Le Corbusier worked on hundreds of architectural projects, built dozens of buildings and… And he became famous for his poetic interpretation of the technologies and values of the new machine age.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey that begins with his first works in the mountains, in Switzerland, and ends in the Côte d’Azur, but first stops in all those places where the artist left his mark, Istanbul, Athens, Rome, Paris, Geneva, Moscow, Barcelona, New York and India.

You will be able to enjoy and visit this interesting exhibition until May 11…
