Cirque du Soleil returns to Barcelona with Dralion

Cirque du Soleil in BarcelonaAfter touring several cities with this new show called Dralion, Cirque du Soleil arrives once again in Barcelona and will be at the Palau de Sant Jordi from December 18 to 29.

“Fusing 3000 years of Chinese acrobatic arts tradition with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion is inspired by Eastern philosophy and its eternal quest for harmony between humans and nature. The name of the show derives from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West.

In Dralion, the four elements that govern the natural order take on human form. Through this personification, each element represents the color that evokes it: air is blue; water is green; fire is red; earth is ochre. In the world of Dralion, cultures blend, man and nature are one, and balance is achieved.”

The whole show is accompanied by the evocative music of the composer Violaine Corradi, which captures the spectator from the first second, transporting him to unimagined worlds through lyrics composed in an invented language that only Dralion knows and understands.
Wind instruments, violins, guitars, drums and percussions, compose sounds from East and West, acting as a pathway in a constant intermingling of cultures.
