Some history

Catalunya en miniatura is a company of the Ercilla family founded in 1983, with the aim of promoting a theme park with scale models. Inaugurated this year, its objective has always been to show the most representative places of the Catalan lands in miniature version.

In 2008 it was complemented with a fun and adrenaline area. For this purpose, vertical adventure circuits, forest aerial circuits with zip lines where visitors can practice different activities and adventures in the middle of nature, were incorporated into the facilities.

Towards the middle of 2012, Dianova, an international NGO with consultative status with the United Nations, bought 51% of the shares of the family business, betting on turning the park into a source of income to promote different projects.

Since then, Catalunya en miniatura has become an innovative business model 3.0 park, where business integration between an NGO and a private company has been achieved.

Dianova operates in 12 countries in Europe and the Americas, offering programs and projects for education, youth, socio-community development and addiction prevention.
